Five embassies of the members of the UN Security Council in Nepal have expressed satisfaction over the completion of the discharge of Maoist combatants disqualified by UNMIN and said this has opened avenues for moving ahead implementation of the comprehensive peace accord (CPA).
The British Embassy in a press release issued Monday said it was ready to cooperate in the relief packages to be brought by the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction, UN and other donor agencies.
The rest of the combatants will also be integrated and rehabilitated in time, it said, and expected that mutual cooperation and consensus will be maintained among major parties for the peace process.
The Kathmandu-based representatives of the countries had gone to Dahaban of Rolpa to observe the last discharge of the disqualified combatants.
Participating in the visit were ambassador of China, France, Japan, Russia, UK and USA.
